Grade 5

Mrs. Wise

Chorus meetings twice a week during lunch.  Students visit a retirement community twice a year to perform for the residents.  They perform two shows a year for our families.

Grade 5

Orchestra – Mrs. Kaempen

Beginning Band/Orchestra – 5th grade – one 30 minute lesson (1-6 students in a group) one time per week. Starting in October, there is 1 before school rehearsal which may occur at another school with 40-80 students.

Lessons continue through the entire school year. Before school rehearsals continue until their Spring concert in April. All students participate in 2 evening concerts. We often have additional activities and performances throughout the year.

There is no fee for the program, just parent responsibility to acquire instrument, book, music stand and transport to morning practice.

Grades 4 & 5

Mrs. Muccianti

This club models leadership through fitness activities and community service.  Students may be asked to assist at night events involving fitness, or volunteer in the POC community garden. The mission is to educate students and families about healthy eating and getting 60 of exercise daily.

Grade 5

Mrs. Engelhardt
Mrs. LoCascio

This club writes, records and plans all of Lincoln’s recorded daily announcements.  This club meets during part of the lunch hour.

Winter – all grades

PTA Parent Representative

State-sponsored art competition focused on a particular theme each year.  Students are given flyers at school with specifics of the year’s theme.  Participants can create written or visual artwork around the theme and submit on a certain date.  Work is displayed through the school and winners then compete on the state level.

Grades 2-5

Fitness Club meets before school in the Spring. Fitness Club works on warm ups, running skills, and cool downs.  Exercise is a great activity for Lincoln students in Fitness Club. We end each year with the Got2Run for Education in Arlington Heights.

Grades 3-5

PTA/Parent Volunteers

Students meet at lunch in small groups to share and discuss, engaging literature.
