Our School

LS Logo

Thank you for your interest in Lincoln School. Our staff, students, and parents are proud of our school community. Lincoln School has approximately 860 students, and we consider our diverse population to be one of our strongest assets.
We were the first District 15 school to become part of the No Excuses University (NEU) network. As a NEU school, we know there are no limits to the academic success of every student. We believe in preparing students for their future, and we work hard to help each child achieve success.

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year!

Welcome to Lincoln School!

"We are committed to creating a school that knows no limits to the academic success of each student."  —No Excuses University Pledge

Thank you for your interest in Lincoln School. Our staff, students, and parents are proud of our school community. Lincoln School has approximately 560 students, and we consider our diverse population to be one of our strongest assets. We were the first District 15 school to become part of the No Excuses University (NEU) network. As a NEU school, we know there are no limits to the academic success of every student. We believe in preparing students for their future, and we work hard to help each child achieve success.  Each year we give a Lincoln alum who attends Palatine High School a scholarship gift to help pay for some college expenses. Lincoln is proud of its membership in the NEU network of schools across the country.

Our strong teaching staff collaborates with one another to offer a rigorous curriculum, especially in reading and math. We have a variety of academic and behavior intervention programs based on the individual needs of our students. We offer many interventions and programs during our lunch hours such as Rainbows, Social/Academic Instructional groups, and Intramurals. We also have clubs such as Running Club, Video production Club, and Chorus for our older students.

Lincoln is in its thirteenth year as a Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) school. We were recognized by the state of Illinois at the Platinum level this past school year. This recognition was based on documented successful behavioral and academic outcomes. Lincoln is proud of our efforts to implement PBIS at all three tiers and provide effective supports for all students in order to achieve social, emotional, and academic success. Our school-wide rules are “Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible and Ready.”  Our staff rewards our students each month with celebrations when we reach our monthly behavior goal. We also utilize the “Expect Respect” program in conjunction with PBIS in order to teach staff and students consistent, school-wide strategies to help students solve conflicts with their peers.

Our parent community plays a large role in developing student relationships and involving families at Lincoln. Our award-winning PTA brings in assemblies for our students and plans a variety of other events, such as ice cream socials, school dances, bingo, and recreation nights.

The Lincoln community prides itself on always putting the needs of our students first. We welcome you to contact us if you would like to learn more about our campus.
